- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup barbeque sauce

Preheat your outdoor grill to a medium heat setting and lightly coat the grates with oil.

Place the trout fillets on a large sheet of aluminum foil, making sure they are completely covered.

In a bowl, combine the softened butter, freshly squeezed lemon juice, smoked paprika, and a pinch of heat from the cayenne pepper; spread this mixture evenly onto the trout fillets.

Once the grill is preheated, cook the trout on it for approximately 10 minutes, or until it flakes apart easily with a fork; during the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the fillets with your favorite barbecue sauce.
