Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter for greasing, or as needed
- 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup salted cashews
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or equivalently, 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a moment to prepare your casserole dish by applying a generous amount of butter to its surface.
3
Now, carefully place the uncooked noodles into your prepared casserole dish.
4
Turn your attention to a large skillet, and heat it over the medium-high heat setting.
5
Add beef, onion, and celery to the skillet, and cook them until they reach a browned and crumbly state. This should take around 5 to 7 minutes, during which time you'll need to stir the ingredients regularly.
6
Once your beef mixture is cooked, drain off any excess grease that may have accumulated.
7
Then, combine the condensed soups, mushrooms, and milk in a bowl. Stir everything together until it's evenly blended.
8
Pour the beef mixture over the noodles in your casserole dish, making sure to cover them evenly.
9
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
10
Remove the aluminum foil from the dish, and sprinkle some cashews on top.
11
Continue baking the casserole for an additional 30 minutes, or until it starts to bubble and emit a pleasant aroma.
