  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cups raw peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 dash red food coloring

Heat a saucepan over a low-temperature setting, and merge the sugar, corn syrup, evaporated milk, and peanuts within it. Allow to simmer until heated through, stirring occasionally to ensure uniformity. Continue cooking until the mixture reaches a temperature spanning 234-240 degrees Fahrenheit (112-116 degrees Celsius), or until a small droplet of syrup, when dropped into chilled water, forms a pliable ball that flattens upon removal and placement on a flat surface. This process may take up to 1 hour.

Once the mixture has reached the desired thermal level, incorporate the butter, vanilla extract, and food coloring into the blend. Transfer the mixture onto wax-coated paper or parchment paper to shape into patties. Allow to cool and solidify before serving
