SERVINGS
1 serving
Ginger Turmeric Milk
Ingredients
  • 1 (1 1/2 inch) piece fresh turmeric root, peeled and grated
  • 1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 pinch ground turmeric
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions
1
Combine the grated root of the turmeric plant with the grated root of the ginger plant and a generous amount of honey in a bowl, thoroughly mashing the turmeric and ginger to release their flavors.
2
Heat the almond milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat, allowing it to simmer gently until small bubbles start forming around the edges. Then, lower the heat even further and continue to cook.
3
Transfer approximately 2 tablespoons of the warm milk into the bowl with the turmeric mixture, allowing it to soften and the honey to dissolve and become a smooth paste.
4
Gradually incorporate the turmeric paste into the milk in the saucepan, increasing the heat to medium-low and cooking continuously until fully combined.
5
Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture thoroughly, achieving a smooth consistency.
6
Pour the resulting turmeric tea into a mug and top it with an additional sprinkle of ground turmeric and a pinch of cinnamon.
