Ginger Hoisin Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients
  • 2 (1 1/2 pound) pork tenderloins, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sherry
  • 1 tablespoon black bean sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch Chinese five-spice powder
Instructions
1
Combine the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sherry, black bean sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and five-spice powder in a shallow glass dish. Place the tenderloins inside and mix until they are evenly coated with the sauce mixture. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
2
While the oven is warming up, take the tenderloins out of the refrigerator. Remove the tenderloins from the sauce mixture and gently shake off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
3
Put the tenderloins in the preheated oven and bake to your desired level of doneness, which should take around 30-35 minutes. Once done, let the tenderloins rest for 10 minutes before slicing them into thin, diagonal pieces.
