Garlic Shrimp de Jonghe
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups dry white wine
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
To prepare your baking vessel, lightly coat an 11x7 inch casserole dish with a thin layer of oil or cooking spray.
3
Arrange the shrimp in an even and uniform manner within the prepared casserole dish.
4
Downpour a generous amount of wine over the shrimp, making sure they are completely submerged.
5
Mix together softened butter, minced garlic, a pinch of cayenne pepper, paprika, chopped parsley, and crushed bread crumbs in a bowl until you achieve a uniform consistency.
6
Sprinkle the prepared bread crumb mixture evenly over the shrimp, taking care not to overcrowd the dish.
7
If desired, place the casserole dish in the refrigerator for a period of time to allow the flavors to meld and the shrimp to chill.
8
Once your oven is preheated, bake the casserole in it for 20 minutes, or until the shrimp have reached a firm texture and the topping is golden brown.
9
Serve the dish immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
