- 1 pound button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon red cooking wine
- 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce, or more to taste
- 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
- freshly ground black pepper to taste

Melt the olive oil and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Introduce the mushrooms, wine, teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, garlic powder, and black pepper into the pan. Combine these ingredients gently as they cook and stir until the mushrooms have developed a light brown color, approximately 5 minutes.

Gradually decrease the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer until the mushrooms become tender, taking around 5 to 8 additional minutes.
