Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms
Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh white mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Instructions
1
First, preheat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, use a damp paper towel to gently wipe away any dirt or debris from the mushrooms, then carefully remove and discard their stems.
2
Now, pour a small amount of oil into a large cast iron skillet to coat the surface evenly. Place the mushrooms in the skillet, with their caps facing downwards. Be cautious not to sprinkle any garlic directly into the hot oil in the skillet, as this can burn easily.
3
Instead, sprinkle the minced garlic into the small cavities of the mushroom caps, taking care not to spill any onto the hot skillet.
4
After that, drizzle a small amount of melted butter over the mushrooms to add moisture and flavor. Finally, sprinkle some salt and pepper over the mushrooms to bring out their natural flavors.
5
Place the skillet in the preheated oven and roast the mushrooms for 15 minutes, or until they are tender and lightly browned.
6
Once done, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over the mushrooms to add a salty, nutty flavor. Return the skillet to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7
Finally, remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle some chopped parsley over the top of the mushrooms to add a fresh, herbaceous flavor.
