- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 2 pounds large shrimp (21-25 per pound), peeled and deveined

Combine paprika, garlic, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, olive oil, pepper, basil, and brown sugar in a bowl until the mixture is perfectly uniform.

Add the shrimp to the bowl and mix well, ensuring that each piece is evenly coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, stirring once every hour.

Heat up an outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Lightly brush the grill grate with oil and position it about 4 inches away from the heat source.

Take the shrimp out of the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off, and discard the remaining marinade.
