Garlic Herb Focaccia
Ingredients
  • 1 cup very warm water
  • 3 tablespoons very warm water
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed, or more to taste
  • 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon herbes de Provence, or more to taste
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Place the following ingredients in the bread machine pan: 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons of water, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, bread flour, white sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and active dry yeast. Select the pizza cycle and press Start.
2
In a small bowl, mix together crushed garlic and 1/3 cup of olive oil. Allow the mixture to infuse for about 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
3
In another small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion powder, and herbes de Provence. This blend of flavors will add a rich and savory taste to your pizza.
4
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease a large, rimmed baking sheet with olive oil to prevent the crust from sticking.
5
Remove the dough from the bread machine and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Use your fingers to gently stretch the dough out to a 1/2-inch thickness, creating dimples that will hold your toppings.
6
Pour the garlic and oil mixture over the dough, spreading it evenly across the surface. Use your hands to spread the mixture along the edges of the dough as well.
7
Sprinkle a blend of Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion powder, and herbes de Provence evenly over the top of the dough. Add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to enhance the flavor.
8
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake until it reaches a golden brown color, approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Remove the pizza from the oven and transfer it to a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes.
9
Cut the pizza into squares using a pizza cutter, and serve hot.
