Garlic Herb Drop Biscuits
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chilled unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup cold whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2
Next, apply a thin layer of cooking spray to a baking sheet.
3
Sift together 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder, salt, white sugar, cream of tartar, baking powder, and flour in a large mixing bowl.
4
Use a pastry blender or a fork to combine the unsalted butter cubes with the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
5
Mix in 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Cheddar cheese into the flour mixture.
6
Gradually add milk to the flour mixture while stirring until you achieve a thick and sticky consistency.
7
Use a spoon or your hands to drop small balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, approximately 1 tablespoon each.
8
Bake in a preheated oven until the biscuits are lightly golden brown, taking around 15 minutes.
9
Melt salted butter in a separate bowl and mix it with parsley flakes and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
10
Brush the melted butter mixture over the biscuits immediately after removing them from the oven.
