Ingredients
- 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast half
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza crust dough
- 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Place chicken breast in a saucepan with an adequate amount of water to immerse it completely. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, and continue cooking until the chicken is no longer pink, approximately 20 minutes. Remove from heat, drain excess water, and let cool slightly before cutting into thin strips.
2
Concurrently, in a small skillet over medium heat, melt butter while sautéing minced garlic, chopped onion, and fresh basil leaves. Transfer the mixture to a chilled dish to allow it to cool and set in the refrigerator until solidified.
3
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
4
Unfold the pizza dough, place it onto a suitable baking sheet or pizza pan, and spread the herb butter evenly over its surface using the back of a spoon. Arrange the cooked chicken strips on top, followed by small dollops of ricotta cheese. Add sliced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and shaved Parmesan cheese on top.
5
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the center is cooked through.
