Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 slices white bread
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat a large skillet over the medium heat setting.
2
Melt butter in a small bowl, then add chopped parsley and grated Pecorino Romano cheese, along with minced garlic.
3
Spread a thin layer of the butter-garlic mixture evenly onto one side of each bread slice, then flip them over.
4
Place two slices of bread, buttered-side down, on a flat surface and top them with provolone and mozzarella cheese.
5
Cover the bread slices with another two slices, buttered-side up, to create a sandwich.
6
Cook the sandwiches in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on the first side, or until they are golden brown.
7
Flip them over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the second side is also golden brown.
8
Cut the sandwiches in half to serve.
