Ingredients
- 5 pounds leg of lamb
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary components. Preheat the oven to its optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Make precise incisions on the surface of the leg of lamb, spacing them approximately 3 to 4 inches apart; insert cloves of garlic into the incisions. Ample seasoning with salt and pepper is required.
3
Position the lamb on a suitable roasting pan; place several sprigs of fresh rosemary beneath and atop the lamb.
4
Roast in the preheated oven for 1 3/4 to 2 hours, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the lamb registers at least 135 degrees Fahrenheit (57 degrees Celsius) for medium-rare to medium doneness.
5
Cover the lamb with aluminum foil and permit it to repose for at least 10 minutes prior to carving.
6
Present the dish with your preferred accompaniments, and indulge in it!
