- 3 large carrots, trimmed and peeled

Fill a large container with salted water and place it on the stovetop over high heat, allowing it to reach a vigorous boil. Introduce the carrots into the pot and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of tenderness. Be cautious when removing the carrots from the water, as they may be hot. Cut each carrot in half lengthwise using a sharp knife.

Place each carrot half into a resealable plastic bag. Place the bagged carrots in the freezer to chill, for at least 2 hours or until they have reached a solid state. Once frozen, transfer the carrots to the freezer for long-term storage until you are ready to use them.
