  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white sugar

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (the temperature is equivalent to 175 degrees Celsius).

Combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, cream cheese, milk, and vanilla extract in a blender; blend until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.

Place sugar in an even layer at the bottom of a saucepan over medium heat; cook until the edges start to brown, approximately 1 minute.

Using a spatula, gently drag the sugar towards the center of the saucepan once the edges start to brown.

Pour the caramel mixture into a 9-inch flan mold or baking pan; swirl it so that the caramel reaches 1 inch up the sides.

Pour the condensed milk mixture on top of the caramel layer; set it aside for now.

Position the flan mold or baking pan in a water bath, which consists of pouring 1 inch of boiling water into a large oven-safe pot or baking dish.

Place the flan and water bath in the preheated oven; bake until a damp table knife inserted into the center comes out clean, taking 45 minutes to 1 hour.
