SERVINGS

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3 fluid ounces banana liqueur
- 4 medium bananas, peeled
- 4 fluid ounces coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua®)
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Instructions
1
Heat a medium-sized pan over low heat, allowing the butter to soften and melt. Introduce brown sugar and cinnamon into the pan, stirring constantly as it cooks until the sugar has fully dissolved and a rich sauce forms, taking approximately 3 minutes.
2
Next, incorporate banana liqueur into the pan and stir to combine. Slice bananas in half lengthwise and carefully place them into the pan, ensuring they don't break apart. Cook for 1 minute before gently turning and continuing to cook until the bananas are a deep brown color and tender, taking around 1-2 minutes more.
3
Add coffee-flavored liqueur to the pan and continue cooking until it reaches a hot temperature, taking about 1-2 minutes. To add an element of drama to the dish, tilt the pan slightly and carefully ignite the rum using a lighter. Remove the pan from the heat source immediately.
4
To serve, place scoops of ice cream into 4 individual bowls. Add a single banana to each bowl and pour the warm sauce over the top, allowing it to drizzle down. Present the dish immediately.
