Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 pounds pork short spareribs
Instructions
1
Combine the marinade ingredients - soy sauce, white wine vinegar, sesame oil, honey, five-spice powder, garlic, and ginger - in a large container. Mix everything together thoroughly by shaking the bag vigorously.
2
Add the ribs to the marinade mixture and seal the container, allowing it to refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours. Make sure to occasionally turn the container to ensure even distribution of the flavors.
3
Next, preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Remove the ribs from their marinade and place them in a roasting pan. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil to prevent any heat loss.
4
Cook the ribs in the preheated oven for one hour, turning them occasionally to prevent burning. After an hour, increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F and remove the foil from the pan.
5
Bake the ribs for an additional 20 minutes, turning them once more until they achieve a nicely browned exterior.
