Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons coarse sugar, such as turbinado
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
Instructions
1
Insert a 11x13-inch baking pan into the oven's heating compartment. Set the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius) with the pan in place.
2
Combine eggs in a large mixing container using a wire whisk; incorporate milk, lemon zest, white sugar, and salt into the mixture. Blend until smooth. Integrate lemon juice into the combination.
3
Place butter in the preheated pan and allow it to liquefy until it is vigorously bubbling. Spread the melted butter evenly across the entire bottom of the pan by gently moving it from side to side. Pour the batter into the buttered pan.
4
Bake in the preheated oven until the top of the pancake is lightly browned and puffed, taking 20 to 30 minutes. Combine coarse sugar and cardamom in a separate container; sprinkle the mixture over the top of the pancake. Cut and serve
