Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger, chopped
- 2 plum tomatoes, cut into 1/2-inch dice
- 1 pound bone-in pork chops
- 4 cups water, more if needed
- 1 (1.41 ounce) package tamarind soup base (such as KnorrĀ®)
- 1/2 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
Instructions
1
Preheat the pan with vegetable oil over a moderate temperature. Introduce the onion into the pan and stir constantly until it becomes soft and pale, approximately 5 minutes. Add a pinch of salt to taste.
2
Next, incorporate the ginger, tomatoes, and pork chops into the pan. Cover the pan and lower the heat to a low temperature. Periodically turn the pork chops until they develop a brown color.
3
Now, pour in water and tamarind soup base into the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then decrease the heat and let it simmer until the pork is tender and fully cooked through, roughly 30 minutes.
4
Subsequently, add green beans to the pan and cook until they become tender.
