Ingredients
- 4 pounds baby back pork ribs
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup prepared mustard
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1
Firstly, heat up your oven to a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, place the ribs in two large roasting pans measuring 10x15 inches each. In a separate bowl, combine water and red wine vinegar, stirring until well combined. Pour the diluted vinegar mixture over the ribs and cover them with aluminum foil.
3
After 45 minutes of baking in the preheated oven, take a break and give the ribs a good basting with their own juices.
4
Meanwhile, prepare the BBQ sauce by mixing together ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, melted butter, brown sugar, hot pepper sauce, and salt in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
5
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
6
Now, get your grill ready by preheating it to medium heat.
7
To prevent sticking, lightly grease the preheated grill with oil.
8
Transfer the ribs from the oven to the grill, discarding any leftover cooking liquid. Grill the ribs over medium heat for 15 minutes, flipping them once.
9
Baste the ribs generously with the BBQ sauce you prepared earlier. Grill for another 8 minutes, then flip them again and grill for an additional 8 minutes.
