Ingredients
- 1 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar, divided
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Next, take some butter and cover the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish with it.
3
Now, place the pre-made pastry sheets into the prepared baking dish and put the dish inside the oven.
4
Keep a close eye on it as it cooks until the top layer becomes crispy and golden brown.
5
Once you've achieved this, take it out of the oven and continue cooking the remaining pastry sheets until they're all done.
6
Before you start assembling your dessert, preheat the oven's broiler function to get it ready for use.
7
In a separate bowl, mix together chopped walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, raisins, coconut, and 1/4 cup of sugar.
8
Then, take the cooked pastry and break it into smaller pieces before adding them to your nut mixture.
9
Mix the two together until you have a uniform blend of nuts and pastry.
10
Spread this mixture evenly across the 9x13-inch dish.
11
In another saucepan, combine milk and 1/2 cup of sugar, then bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
12
Pour this milk mixture over your nut and pastry blend in the dish.
13
Take a bowl and whip heavy cream with the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar until it forms stiff peaks.
14
Spread this whipped cream evenly over the nut and pastry mixture in the dish.
15
Place your dessert under the oven's broiler until the top is golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
16
Serve your dessert hot and enjoy!
