Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 (16 ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary ingredients beforehand.
2
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if using a thermometer).
3
Combine self-rising flour, sugar, and milk in a bowl until they are thoroughly incorporated and there are no lumps present.
4
Pour melted butter into a 2-quart baking dish (or a 9- or 10-inch cast iron skillet) to create the base layer.
5
Pour the flour-milk mixture over the top of the buttered dish, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
6
Gently pour peaches and syrup into the baking dish, spreading them out uniformly across the surface using a spatula.
7
Bake in the preheated oven until the crust turns golden brown, taking 30 to 45 minutes.
8
Remove from the oven and let it cool for approximately 10 minutes before serving.
