Ingredients
- 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- 4 slices hard salami
- 4 slices thinly sliced ham
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit or 220 degrees Celsius.
2
Take a large skillet and place it over the middle-high heat setting; cook and stir the sausage until it becomes crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer has a pink color, approximately 10 minutes. Remove any excess grease that may have accumulated during cooking.
3
Roll out the bread dough on an ungreased baking sheet to a thickness of 3/4 inches. Arrange the salami, ham, and American cheese slices in the center of the dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, and cooked sausage.
4
Fold the bread dough over the ingredients to cover them completely, pinching and sealing the edges to prevent any leakage. Brush the top of the dough with an egg white for added flavor and texture.
5
Bake the prepared dish in your preheated oven until the dough is fully baked and lightly browned, taking around 17 to 20 minutes.
