Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons apricot preserves
- 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
- 4 (8 ounce) fresh salmon fillets
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. To make things easier, cover your baking sheet with a thin layer of aluminum foil for effortless cleanup.
2
In a small bowl, mix together the sweet and tangy flavors of apricot preserves and mustard until you get a smooth and harmonious blend.
3
Arrange the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet in an orderly fashion. Gently brush half of the apricot-mustard mixture evenly onto the top surface of each fillet.
4
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven, positioning it on the top rack for optimal heat distribution. Allow the salmon to cook for 16 minutes, or until it reaches a tender and flaky texture.
5
After the initial 16 minutes of cooking, remove the baking sheet from the oven and brush the remaining half of the apricot-mustard mixture over the top surface of each fillet. Continue to bake for an additional 2 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
6
Once the salmon is cooked to perfection, remove it from the oven and serve hot.
