Easter Cola-Glazed Ham
Ingredients
  • 1 (8 pound) boneless ham
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage
  • 1 cup grape juice
  • 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to its optimal temperature, 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), for a perfectly cooked dish.
2
Using a sharp knife, create shallow cuts in a diagonal pattern across the surface of the ham, about 1 inch apart. Place the ham in a large roasting pan and generously sprinkle brown sugar over its entire surface, allowing some to fall into the pan.
3
Then, bake the ham in the preheated oven until the sugar starts to dissolve and caramelize, taking approximately 30 minutes.
4
Remove the ham from the oven and carefully pour cola, grape juice, and reserved pineapple juice into the roasting pan. Baste the ham with this sweet mixture and return it to the oven.
5
Every 20 minutes, repeat the basting process for about 2 hours, ensuring the ham is evenly coated with the cola mixture.
6
Cut the pineapple rings in half and place them gently on top of the ham. Remove the ham from the oven and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes, before slicing it thinly and serving with pineapple slices and the accompanying sauce.
