Ingredients
- 6 roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, packed in oil
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, stems removed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 French baguette
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to its highest temperature setting, commonly referred to as the broiler.
2
In a large container, merge the plum tomatoes, dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, basil, salt, and pepper. Permit the blend to rest for 10 minutes.
3
Slice the baguette into thin strips, approximately three-quarters of an inch in length. Place the slices on a baking sheet in a uniform layer. Subject the baguette to high heat for 1 to 2 minutes, until it develops a light brown hue.
4
Distribute the tomato mixture uniformly across the baguette slices. Cover the slices with mozzarella cheese.
5
Expose the baguette to high heat for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.
