Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander seed
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 3 green onions
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup pre-cooked corn kernels
- 2 small tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cups cooked rice
- salt to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat the wok-style pan over medium-high heat, then add a generous amount of oil along with turmeric, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, paprika, chili flakes, and cayenne pepper. Once the spices are fragrant, introduce the green onions and sliced green peppers into the pan; cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2
Next, add the frozen corn and chopped tomatoes to the pan; continue cooking until the tomatoes start to break down, releasing their natural juices.
3
Now, add a splash of ketchup and stir the mixture until it's well combined.
4
Following that, incorporate the cooked rice into the pan; continue cooking and stirring until the rice is heated through.
5
Finally, season with salt to taste.
