Decadent Amish Friendship Chocolate Bread
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer).
2
Next, lightly coat the inside of two 9x5 inch loaf pans with a thin layer of cooking spray or oil to prevent the loaves from sticking.
3
In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the essential ingredients of all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and chocolate pudding. Create a central depression in this mixture by pushing the ingredients towards the center of the bowl.
4
Introduce the Amish friendship bread starter, vegetable oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract into this mixture. Blend the ingredients together until they form a cohesive unit.
5
Carefully pour the batter into the prepared loaf pans, ensuring each pan is filled to the brim.
6
Place the loaves in a preheated oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of one of the loaves comes out clean, approximately 60 minutes.
7
Once done, transfer the loaves to a wire rack for 10 minutes of cooling time before carefully removing them from their pans.
