Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to a high heat setting, equivalent to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
In a spacious mixing container, combine softened butter and granulated sugar until they form a uniform consistency. Introduce eggs one by one, blending them into the mixture until it becomes airy and smooth.
3
Mix together flour, ground cardamom, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl until well combined. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the sugar mixture, stirring just until they are fully incorporated.
4
Divide the dough into six equal portions and shape each portion into a cylindrical rope, approximately the same diameter as your finger on a lightly dusted surface.
5
Cut each rope into 1/2-inch segments and arrange them on an ungreased baking sheet.
6
Bake the cookies for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until they have lightly browned and are cooked through.
7
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a short period, then transfer them to wire racks to continue cooling completely.
