  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup white sugar, or more to taste
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 8 ears corn on the cob, husks and silk removed

Begin by filling a substantial stockpot with water and placing it on high heat, waiting for the liquid to reach its boiling point.

Next, combine milk, sugar, cream, and butter in the stockpot and stir until the sugar has fully incorporated into the mixture and the butter has completely melted.

Now, carefully add ears of corn to the pot, taking care not to splash any of the hot liquid.
