Place the couscous in a spacious bowl; reserve for later use.

Combine chicken stock, curry powder, salt, pepper, olive oil, and raisins in a substantial saucepan and bring to a rolling boil; take the saucepan off the heat source and pour the hot liquid over the couscous. Cover the bowl with a layer of plastic wrap and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
