Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 6 large pitted green olives, quartered
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 2 (1.41 ounce) packages sazon seasoning (such as Goya®)
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- salt to taste
Instructions
1
Collect and prepare all necessary components.
2
Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a large cooking vessel over a moderate temperature setting; cook and constantly mix the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic until they become tender and softened, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
3
Introduce the ground beef into the cooking vessel; cook and stir constantly until it reaches a crumbly texture and is completely browned, around 7 to 10 minutes.
4
Combine the tomato sauce, pitted olives, dried raisins, pickled capers, ground cumin, Sazón seasoning, sugar, and salt into the ground beef mixture. Cover the cooking vessel, lower the heat to a low setting, and cook until the entire mixture is heated through, roughly 5 to 10 minutes.
