Crispy Turkey and Cranberry Wontons
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked turkey breast meat, shredded
  • 2/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 (14 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying

Combine the ground turkey, dried cranberries, sliced almonds, and cranberry sauce in a large bowl. Spoon approximately 1 teaspoon of the mixture onto the center of each wonton wrapper.

Gently fold the wonton wrappers over the filling, wetting the edges with a small amount of water to help them stick together. Use your fingers or a fork to press the edges firmly and seal the wonton.

Heat a substantial amount of oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to a high temperature.

Carefully place the wontons into the hot oil, cooking until they turn golden brown. Remove the fried wontons from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
