Crispy Spicy Chicken Wings
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken wings and drummettes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
Instructions
1
Preheat your air fryer oven to the recommended temperature, as specified in the user manual.
2
Mix together paprika, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and a pinch of heat in a small container.
3
Wash the chicken thoroughly and gently pat it dry with paper towels. Place the chicken in a large container, drizzle with oil, and gently combine until the chicken is evenly coated.
4
Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring it's fully covered. Arrange the chicken in a single layer within the air fryer basket to prevent overcrowding.
5
Cook the chicken in the preheated air fryer oven until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), indicated by an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast. This should take around 12 minutes, with a 6-minute interval for turning halfway through the cooking time.
6
For an extra crispy finish, increase the air fryer oven temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
7
Allow the chicken to rest for a short period of time before serving.
