- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 12 (7 inch square) wonton wrappers

Preheat the deep fryer or large saucepan to a high temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Concurrently, combine cream cheese, shrimp, onion, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl for mixing.

Place a small amount of the cream cheese mixture onto each wonton wrapper; moisten the edges with water, then fold and press together to seal the filling inside.
