SERVINGS

Ingredients
- 3 stalks celery stalks, cut in thirds
- 3 turkey legs
- 6 tablespoons butter
- salt to taste
- 1/2 cup water, or as needed
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary components for cooking.
2
Preheat your oven to the ideal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Clean and dry turkey legs thoroughly.
3
Position the turkey legs in an upright stance, mimicking the posture of a standing bird. Insert a knife into the deep tissue to create 2 or 3 lengthy cavities. Place a stalk of celery within each opening. Gently pry back the skin covering the legs, anoint with butter, and sprinkle a pinch of salt. Reattach the skin, apply additional butter, and lightly dust with salt. Arrange the turkey legs in a roasting dish. Pour water into the pan.
4
Roast the turkey legs without covering them until they achieve a golden brown color and reach an internal temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) when measured with a meat thermometer, approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours. Supplement the water as needed during cooking and periodically baste the legs with their own juices or melted butter.
