  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice

To prepare the chickpeas, lay them out on paper towels and let them sit for about 45 minutes, allowing any excess moisture to evaporate completely.

Next, preheat your oven to a hot temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper to make cleanup easier.

Now, place the chickpeas on the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.

Finally, bake the chickpeas in the preheated oven until they turn a lovely golden color, which should take around 40 minutes. To ensure even cooking, shake the pan every 10 minutes during this time.

Once the chickpeas are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them with a blend of spices and salt to add flavor.
