- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and ground black pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to a high temperature, equivalent to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius.

Carefully remove the broccoli from its stalk, taking care not to damage the delicate florets. Peel the remaining stalk and slice it into thin pieces, approximately 1/4 inch in length.

Mix the broccoli florets with their stem pieces together, then combine them with a generous amount of olive oil in a bowl. Transfer this mixture to a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Place the prepared broccoli in the preheated oven and roast until it reaches your desired level of tenderness, with a lightly browned appearance. This should take around 18 to 20 minutes.
