  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 4 (8 ounce) fillets catfish, washed and patted dry

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit, or 230 degrees Celsius.

To prepare the cooking surface, cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly mist it with cooking spray.

In another container, combine crushed chips, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful coating.

In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and oil. Dip the catfish in this mixture, then coat it evenly with the chip mixture. Arrange the coated catfish on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle any remaining chip mixture over it.
