Ingredients
- 1/4 pound ground turkey
- 1 egg, beaten, divided
- 1 teaspoon minced water chestnuts
- 1 teaspoon minced green onion
- 1/2 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 12 wonton wrappers
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1
Combine ground turkey, a beaten egg, sliced water chestnuts, chopped green onion, soy sauce, grated ginger, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
2
To create the wonton wrappers, use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut out circles from wonton wrappers. Place approximately 1 1/2 teaspoon of the turkey mixture in the center of each wrapper.
3
Next, apply a thin layer of beaten egg to one side of each wonton wrapper. This will serve as an adhesive, helping the edges seal together when folded.
4
Fold the wonton wrapper over the filling, pressing the edges together to form a tight seal. This will help prevent the filling from escaping during cooking.
5
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry the pot stickers, six at a time, until they are golden brown and crispy, taking about 3 to 6 minutes. Remove the pot stickers from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
