Ingredients
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1 pound uncooked jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails left intact
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions
1
Collect and prepare all necessary components.
2
Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized container. Whisk eggs in another medium-sized bowl until they become light and airy. Place bread crumbs in a separate bowl.
3
Dip shrimp into the flour mixture, gently shaking off any excess powder. Then, submerge them in the beaten eggs, making sure they are fully coated.
4
Next, press the shrimp into the bread crumbs, ensuring both sides are evenly covered.
5
Heat approximately 2 inches of oil in a large, heavy cooking vessel to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Fry shrimp in batches of three or four in the hot oil until they are cooked through, approximately 1 minute. Utilize tongs to transfer the shrimp to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Continue cooking the remaining shrimp in batches.
6
Arrange the cooked shrimp on a serving platter to display.
