Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package water-packed firm tofu, drained and rinsed
- 6 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1
Cut the tofu into thin layers, approximately one-quarter of an inch in thickness.
2
Prepare a shallow dish by sprinkling nutritional yeast evenly over its surface. Combine garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the dish to create a uniform blend.
3
Dip each tofu slice into the nutritional yeast mixture, ensuring it is thoroughly coated on all sides.
4
Heat a small amount of oil in a well-seasoned skillet over a relatively low to medium heat setting. Gently place the tofu slices in the skillet and cook until they develop a golden brown color and become crispy, requiring 3 to 5 minutes of cooking time on each side.
