Ingredients
- 2 pounds pork roast
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 500 degrees Fahrenheit or 260 degrees Celsius.
2
Rinse the roast under cold running water to moisten its surface, then gently pat it dry with a paper towel. Using a brush, spread an even layer of Worcestershire sauce all over the roast's exterior.
3
Season the roast with a blend of flavors, including pepper, sea salt, steak seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder, on all sides of the meat.
4
Place the roast in a shallow roasting pan with the fat side facing upwards, and position it on the middle rack of the preheated oven.
5
Roast the meat in the oven until it reaches your desired level of doneness: approximately 20 minutes for medium, 24 minutes for medium-well, or 28 minutes for well-done.
6
Turn off the oven and allow the roast to cook undisturbed in the oven for an additional 40 minutes.
7
Check the internal temperature of the roast by inserting an instant-read thermometer into its center; it should read at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit or 63 degrees Celsius.
8
Remove the roast from the oven and loosely cover it with aluminum foil to prevent drying out.
9
Allow the roast to rest for 10-15 minutes, during which time its juices will redistribute and become more tender.
10
Slice the roast thinly and serve.
