Ingredients
- 2 turkey wings, cut apart at joints and wing tips discarded
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 4 quarts canola oil for deep frying
Instructions
1
Prepare the turkey wing pieces by coating them evenly with a blend of seasoned salt, seafood seasoning, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder on all sides. Place the coated turkey wing pieces in a resealable plastic bag and seal it tightly before refrigerating for 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to penetrate.
2
Preheat a deep-fryer or large saucepan with oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Once hot, carefully add the turkey wing pieces to the oil and cook for 15 minutes. Flip the wings over halfway through cooking time, continuing until the meat is no longer pink at the bone, and an estimated 10 to 15 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone to verify that it has reached a safe internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
