Combine the flour, salt, oregano, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl.

Dip the squid into the flour mixture, coating it evenly.

Submerge the coated squid in hot oil and cook until it reaches a light brown color, taking about 2 to 3 minutes.

Avoid overcooking the squid as it can become tough and unpleasantly chewy.

Transfer the fried squid to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
