Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 cups crushed saltine crackers, divided
- 1/2 cup oil for frying
Instructions
1
Combine ground beef, chopped parsley, chili powder, salt, and beaten egg in a medium-sized bowl. Add 1 cup of crushed saltine crackers to the mixture and gently blend until well combined. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions, shaping each portion into a ball before flattening it slightly to form a patty. Coat the patties evenly with any remaining cracker crumbs, and arrange them on a plate. Allow the patties to rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
2
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for approximately 7 minutes on each side, or until they reach a satisfactory level of doneness in the center and develop a golden-brown exterior.
