Ingredients
- 1 quart vegetable oil for deep frying
- 24 chicken wings, tips removed and wings cut in half at joint
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 5 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat a large skillet or deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry chicken wings in hot oil until they reach the desired level of doneness, approximately 10 minutes.
2
Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet or deep fryer and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
3
In a separate large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Combine the vinegar and hot pepper sauce in the skillet, stirring until well incorporated. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to suit your taste preferences.
4
Gradually add the cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring gently over low heat until the wings are evenly coated with the sauce. The longer you simmer the wings in the sauce, the spicier they will become.
5
Serve the chicken wings warm, allowing each guest to enjoy them at their desired level of heat.
