- 4 (4 ounce) beef cube steaks

Combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish. Whisk together the milk and eggs in another shallow bowl using a fork.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, allowing it to completely cover the bottom of the pan. Meanwhile, coat cube steaks in the egg and milk mixture by dipping them into it, followed by a coating of the flour mixture, and finally shaking off any excess. Place the coated steaks in the hot skillet.

Cook the steaks over medium-high heat for a few minutes on each side, until they are golden brown. Then, reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking until they reach your desired level of doneness. Uncover the skillet during this time to allow for even cooking. Finish with a drizzle of lemon juice before presenting the dish.
