Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
- 1 small onion, sliced into rings
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius, for optimal cooking results.
2
In a small bowl, combine eggs and whisk them together until well-mixed. Prepare a plate with bread crumbs for later use.
3
In another bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Use your hands or a spoon to mix the ingredients until they are evenly distributed.
4
Form the ground beef mixture into 4 patties, making sure each one is uniform in size and shape.
5
Dip each patty into the whisked eggs, coating them evenly, then roll them in bread crumbs to coat completely.
6
Heat a generous amount of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the breaded hamburgers and cook on each side for approximately 2 minutes.
7
Arrange onion rings at the bottom of a baking dish or casserole dish, leaving enough space between each ring to prevent them from sticking together. Pour just enough water into the dish to cover the bottom, but not completely cover the onion.
8
Carefully place the breaded hamburgers on top of the onions in the baking dish, making sure not to touch the water.
9
Bake the hamburgers in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach your desired level of doneness.
